Good news for mobile game lovers. In fact, Netflix has launched five new mobile games. These game titles have been launched in select European markets. Besides, Netflix has also started its plan to offer mobile games to its users. It can be said that this move by Netflix is an attempt by the streaming giant to diversify its revenue sources, as the competition in the streaming market is increasing day by day.

In addition to releasing these five new games, Netflix has also acquired video game maker Night School Studios to work on more of these projects in the future. Let us tell you that this is the first acquisition of its kind from Netflix , which clearly shows the intent of the company to develop the gaming space.

What is Night School Studio?

Night School Studios is an American video game developer, founded in 2014.  Best known for its first title, “ Oxenfree ”, it is a supernatural action game. Studio games are already available on Sony PlayStation, Microsoft Xbox , Nintendo Switch , and PC.

Night School Studios will include games as part of a Netflix membership in select regions, the company confirmed in a recently released memo. This means that new and existing Netflix subscribers will be able to play it for free, without any ads or in-app purchases. It's also possible that future games from Night School Studios will be Netflix's first shows , which won't be limited to mobile.

These five mobile games launched: In addition to

The latest acquisition, Netflix has also launched five new game titles in some European regions. The names of these titles are Stranger Things: 1984, Stranger Things 3: The Game, Card Blast, Teeter Up and Shooting Hoops. These games will be available to Netflix users on Android devices in Spain and Italy. Meanwhile, two Stranger Things games are already available in Poland.

As reported by The Verge, these games won't run on the app like regular Netflix shows . Clicking on any of the game titles will redirect users to the Google Play Store , where they can download and install the game. The game can be easily accessed through the Netflix app once installed. However, Netflix will still redirect you to the games app and won't play it inside its Android app.

Netflix says it will continue to work with developers around the world for its exclusive collection of games. It will now be interesting to see how Netflix gains an edge in this competition through gaming.
