Roskomnadzor has put an administrative protocol on Google
Roskomnadzor has instituted an administrative protocol against the US company Google for its repeated failure to delete information blocked in Russia. This is stated on the website of the service.
The company faces a fine of five to 10 percent of its annual turnover. Roskomnadzor added that the protocol will be sent to the court.
On October 25, Google announced that it had paid all the fines in Russia, and its decisions entered into force. The exact amount that the company paid for violations of Russian law was not disclosed. Prior to this, the head of the State Duma Committee on Security and Anti-Corruption Vasily Piskarev revealed that the company paid fines of 32.5 million rubles.
Earlier, deputy head of the department Vadim Sobotin said that the fine is the result of 16 protocols that have been drawn up against Google since the beginning of 2021 on charges of "systematic violation of Russian law."
