The first way to get your site on Google is to make sure that Google can find it.  The best way to do this is to  submit  a sitemap   A sitemap is a file on your site that provides search engines with information about new or changed pages on your site.

The robots.txt file tells search engines if they can access and crawl parts of your site.  This file is located in the root directory of your site.  The file name should be robots.txt.  Pages may be crawled even though they are blocked by robots.txt.  Therefore, use a safer method for sensitive pages.

You may not want to crawl some of the pages on your site because those pages may not be useful to users when they appear in search engine results.  If you want to prevent search engines from crawling your pages, the robots.txt file generator in Google Search Console can help you create this file.  Note that if your site uses subdomains and you don't want to crawl specific pages in a specific subdomain, you will need to create a separate robots.txt file for that subdomain.  To learn more about  robots.txt file  , 


Avoid doing this:

  • Have Google crawl your site's internal search results page.  Users don't like to click on a search engine result to go to another search results page on your site.
  • Allow crawling of URLs generated as a result of proxy services.

A robots.txt file is not an appropriate or effective way to block sensitive or confidential information.  It only directs well-behaved crawlers that these pages are not theirs.  However, this does not prevent your server from delivering pages to the browser requesting those pages.  One reason for this is that if there are links to URLs on the Internet (such as your referral history) that you've blocked (showing only URLs, not titles or snippets), search engines will still be able to access those URLs. can take a signal.  Also, incompatible or annoying search engines that don't follow the Robots Exclusion Standard may be violating your robots.txt guidelines  Finally, a curious user can check the directory or subdirectory in your robots.txt file  with all,

The title of the homepage on your site can include the name of your website/business.  Some more important information may be included in this.  For example, the website/business address, its purpose and the specific features offered to users.

Choose a title that is easy to understand and that accurately describes the topic of the content on the page.

Avoid doing this:

  • Choose a title that has nothing to do with the content of the page.
  • Using a default or incomprehensible title, such as "Untitled" or "New Page 1".

Make sure that every page on your site has a unique title.  This helps Google understand how this page differs from other pages on your site.  If your site uses separate mobile pages, use good titles on the mobile version as well.

Avoid doing this:

  • Use the same title for all pages or multiple pages on your site.

Headlines can be short and informative.  If the title is too long or inappropriate, Google may only display part of it or an automatically generated part in the search result.  Google may also display different addresses, depending on the user's query or the device used to perform the search.

Avoid doing this:

  • Using addresses that are too long are not helpful to users.
  • titleEnter unnecessary keywords in  your  tags .

Write the information in such a way that if  descriptionthe meta tag appears as a snippet  in search results  , this information will inform and interest users.  However,  descriptionthere is no limit to the length of the text in the meta tag.  This text can be long or short, but we recommend making sure that the text is long enough to be fully visible in the search (note that users need to be able to access the text depending on how and where they search). Extract length may vary from ).  Also, keep in mind that it should contain at least enough information so that users can determine how useful your page will be to them.

  • Writing such text in the title tag will not help determine the texture of the page.
  • Use title tags where it might  be better to use other tags, such as <em> and  <strong>.
  • Frequently change the size of the title tag.

Use title tags when needed.  With multiple title tags on a page, it can be difficult for users to identify the content.  They may also find it difficult to understand where one topic ended and another started.

Avoid doing this:

  • Excessive use of title tags on the page.
  • Too long a title.
  • Use the title tag only to style the text, not to display the structure.

Structured data is  code that you add to your site pages to inform search engines about your content so that search engines can better understand the content of your pages.  Search engines can use this information to show your content in search results as more engaging and useful.  Doing so can help attract the attention of the right customers for your business.


For example, if you have an online store and you add markup to a product page in it, it helps us understand that the page contains a bike, its price and customer reviews.  We may display this information in an extract from the search results for product inquiries.  We call these coordinated results.

In addition to using structured data markup to get rich results, we can also use it to provide accurate results in other formats.  For example, if you have a store, coding hours can help potential customers find you exactly when they need you.  With this, they get information while searching whether your store is open or closed.


You can code a number of business-related things:

  • What product are you selling

  • Videos about your product or business

We recommend that you use structured data in conjunction with any blogging markup used to describe your content.  You can add markup to your page's HTML code or  use tools like  Data Highlighter and Markup Helper  .

After your content is coded, you can use  Google Rich Results Test to  make sure there are no encoding errors.  You can enter the URL of the page containing the content, or copy the HTML code containing the markup.

Avoid doing this:

  • Using the wrong coding.

If you want to try structured markup without changing your site's source code,  you can use the  built-in data highlighter  in Search Console   This is a free tool.  This tool supports a subset of different types of content.

If you want your markup to be ready for you to copy and paste on your page,  try  Markup Assistant  .

Avoid doing this:

  • Change your site source code if you are not sure how to apply the markup.

The  Single Rich Results report in Search Console lets you see how many pages we've found on your site using certain types of markup and how often those pages are shown in search results. Additionally, it also shows how many times people have clicked on those pages in the last 90 days. This report also provides information about any errors we found.    

Avoid doing this:

  • Add encoding data that is not visible to users.
  • Create fake reviews or add markup that doesn't fit on the page.

Pages in Google search results can be distinguished by a number of special features if they contain the correct structured data.  These include features such as star-assisted reviews and decorative results display. 

In order to crawl and index your content, as well as deliver it to users, search engines need unique URLs for each piece of content.  Different URLs must be used for different content (eg different products in a store) and modified content (eg translations or regional differences) to display correctly in the search.

URLs are usually divided into several different types of sections:

protocol://hostname/path/filename?querystring#fragment

Google recommends using each website whenever possible  https:// The hostname is where your website is hosted.  This usually uses the same domain name you would use for email.  Google distinguishes between www and a version without www (for example, www.example.com or only  example.com).  Include your site in Webmaster Tools, http:// and  wehttps:// recommend as well as up, www and without www, linking the two.

The path, file name, and query string determine what content is accessed from your server.  These three parts are case sensitive (low or uppercase spaces), so  the FILE resulting  URL will be filedifferent from the displayed URL.  Host names and protocols are not case sensitive.  Therefore, neither uppercase nor lowercase letters have a role in these.

#infoDetermines the  part (in this case  ) usually any part of the page passed the browser.  Generally, search engines ignore any parts that are used.  This is because the content is generally the same, regardless of the type of part.

To go to the home page, a slash after the hostname is not necessary, because in both cases you end up with the same content (  https://example.com/and they  https://example.comare the same).  For paths and file names, the following slash can be treated as a separate URL (pointing to a file or directory).  I like, https://example.com/fish and  https://example.com/fish/is not the same.

Website navigation is very important in helping website visitors find content quickly.  This helps search engines understand what content is important to the website owner.  Although Google search results are served at the page level, Google also wants to know the page's role in the site as a whole.


All sites have a home page or home page.  This is usually the most visited page.  For most site visitors, navigation begins on this page.  If you have more pages on your site, consider how visitors to your site will move from a general page (the home page) to a page with specific content.  Do you have enough pages on your site for a particular topic to create a page describing these similar pages (eg Home -> Related Topics -> Specific Topics)?  Do you have hundreds of different products that you need to break into multiple categories and subcategories pages?

A breadcrumb is a row of internal links at the top or bottom of a page.  It quickly brings visitors back to the previous section or home page.  The front page is the most common page (usually the home page) in many breadcrumbs.  This is the link on the far left.  In addition, specific sections appear on the right.  We recommend that you use  breadcrumb structured data markup  when displaying  breadcrumbs  .


The navigation page is a page on your site that shows the layout of your website.  It usually contains a list that describes how the pages on your site are arranged.  If website visitors have trouble finding a page on your site, they can visit that page.  Although search engines will also visit this page to get good crawling coverage of the pages on your site, this is primarily for your visitors.

Make it as easy for your visitors to switch from general to specific content as possible.  Add navigation pages where appropriate, and effectively integrate them into your internal link structure.  Ensure that all pages of your site are accessible via links and that there is no need for internal searching to find them.  Link to similar pages where appropriate, so users can find similar content.

Avoid doing this:

  • Create a tangled network of navigation links.  For example, linking every page on your site to every other page.
  • Trim so much of your content that it takes twenty clicks to get to it from the home page.

Text links make most of the navigation on your site easy to move from page to page.  This also makes it easier for search engines to crawl and understand your website.  When using JavaScript to create a page, use the  aelement  with the URL  , as it  hrefdefines the value attribute.  Also, instead of waiting for user interaction when the page is loaded, all menu items are generated.

Avoid doing this:

  • Create navigation based entirely on images or animations.
  • The script or plugin requires event handling to navigate  .

For users, include a simple navigation page that links to your entire site.  If you have hundreds or thousands of pages, include the most important ones.  Create an XML sitemap file to ensure that search engines can find new and updated pages on your site.  Include all relevant URLs, including the date the main content was last modified.

Avoid doing this:

  • Allow your navigation page to become unusable due to broken links.
  • Create a navigation page that includes pages without organization (eg by topic).

Sometimes users go to a page that doesn't exist on your site.  This happens when you open a broken link or enter the wrong URL.  It can  result  in the presence of  error page 404 dedicated  to the re - users to the correct page on your site.  This will improve their experience as well.  Include a link that takes you back to the home page.  Also provide links to popular or similar content on your site.  You can use Google Search Console to find  URL sources that are giving rise to "Not Found" errors  .

  • Prevent crawling of 404 pages using Robots.txt file.

  • Using a design that does not match your site with your 404 pages.

Creating clear categories and file names for your website documents helps organize the site better.  In addition, this can create simple and useful URLs for people who want to link to your content.  Long or encrypted URLs (hidden URLs) can be a problem for site visitors.  This is because these URLs contain only a few recognizable words.

If your URL contains words that are easy to understand, it can be useful in many ways and users can easily understand these URLs.

Finally, remember that the URL of any document in Google search results is usually displayed in some form near the document title.

Google can easily crawl all kinds of formatted URLs, no matter how hard it is.  However, it is a good idea to keep your URL as simple as possible.

Words that describe your content and site structure in URLs are useful to your site visitors.

Avoid doing this:

  • Using long URLs with unnecessary parameters and session IDs.
  • Choose a common page name, such as  page1.html.
  • Too many keywords, for example  baseball-cards-baseball-cards-baseballcards.htmluse.

Use a directory that organizes your content well.  Also, make it easy for site visitors to know where they are on your site.  Try to use your directory structure to determine what type of content is in this URL.

Avoid doing this:

  • .../dir1/dir2/dir3/dir4/dir5/dir6/page.html Such as the deep overlap of sub-directories.
  • Use directory names that are not related to the content they contain.

Keep in mind that if different users visit links from different versions of your site, it may affect traffic to your site's content and ranking.  To avoid this, use the same version URL and link to the pages on your site.  If you find that people are accessing the same content from multiple URLs, it is  better to set up  a 301 redirect  to go from the URL of the main web address to the main version URL   If you can't redirect, you can rel="canonical" also use the link element.

Avoid doing this:

  • Accessing the same content from pages in the subdomain and root directory.  like domain.com/page.html and  sub.domain.com/page.html.

Compared to the other factors discussed here, creating more user-friendly and user-friendly content can be more effective for your website.  Users decide whether the content is good or not after viewing it.  If they like the content, just ask other users to view it.  Users may indicate that they like the Content through blog posts, social media services, email, forums, or any other medium.

Link text is the text that appears inside the link.  This text tells users and Google something about the page you are linking to.  The links on your page can be internal - pointing to other pages on your site - or external - to content on other sites.  In either of these cases, the better the link text, the easier it is for users to navigate and for Google to understand what the page you're linking to is.


With the right anchor text, users and search engines can easily understand the content on the linked pages.

Type anchor text that provides, at a minimum, basic information about the linked page.

  • Type a simple anchor text like 'page', 'article' or 'click here'.
  • Use of text that is off-topic or unrelated to the content of the linked page.
  • Use the page URL as anchor text in most cases.  However, it certainly has the right use, such as promoting or referring to a new website address.

Write a short but informative text.  These can usually consist of a few words or short phrases.

  • Write a long anchor text, such as a long sentence or a short paragraph from an article.

Make it easy for users to differentiate between plain text and your anchor text.  If users forget the link or accidentally click on it, your content becomes less useful.

  • Use CSS or type styles that make links look like plain text.

In general, you can consider adding links pointing to external websites.  However, paying more attention to the anchor text used for internal links can help users and Google navigate your site better.

  • Fill in too many keywords or use long anchor text only for search engines.
  • Creating unnecessary links that do not help the user in browsing the site.

When your site has a link to another site, the other site can benefit from your site's reputation.  Sometimes users can take advantage of this by adding links to your site in the comments section or message board of your site.  In many cases, you might cite a site as an example of wrongdoing, but you don't want that site to take advantage of your reputation.  For example, let's say you're writing a blog post on the topic of comment spam and you want to tag a site that recently posted spam comments about your blog.  You want to warn others about a site, so you include a link to it in your content.  However, you absolutely do not want this site to take advantage of your reputation by including the link.  In like, itnofollow  would be good to use them

When will this be useful?  If you have a blog on your site that has public commenting turned on, links within comments from multiple pages can benefit from your reputation.  You may not be comfortable with those pages.  The blog comments section of the page is highly susceptible to spam comments.  By nofollowing these user-added links, you ensure that you don't want a spammy site to take advantage of your hard-earned reputation for your page.


Many blogging software packages  nofollowautomatically edit  user comments  , but those that don't can be edited manually.  This tip also applies to other parts of your site that may contain user-generated content.  For example, guestbooks, forums, shout-out boards, referral lists, etc.  If you are responsible for links added by third parties (for example, if the commenter is trustworthy on your site),  nofollowthen there is no need to use  the existing link   However, if you link your site to sites that Google identifies as spam, it may affect your traffic and its ranking.  More tips on avoiding spam comments  in Google Search Center documentationwas given.  Explains features such as captcha usage and comment control.
