Roskomnadzor has announced when a protocol will be drawn up on a turnover fine for the American company Google , the reason for this is the failure to delete information prohibited on the territory of Russia. This was reported by TASS with reference to the deputy head of the department Vadim Sobotin.

"This week we plan to draw up a protocol on the turnover fine," Sobotin said. According to the vice-president of Roskomnadzor, this fine is the result of 16 protocols that have been drawn up against Google since the beginning of 2021 on charges of "systematic violation of Russian law".

Earlier, the director of the Association for the Safer Internet , Ekaterina Mizulina, said that due to the systematic failure to remove materials containing content prohibited in Russia, Google faces a fine of up to 10 percent of profits. According to her, the fine for sales can range from 14 to 22 billion rubles.

Prior to this, representatives of Roskomnadzor announced their readiness to impose turnover fines on large US IT companies, including Google . The department's press service indicated that turnover fines can be applied to companies' refusal to remove content prohibited in Russia.
