Telephone: The  satellite helps to have a wireless telephone connection with anyone in any corner of the earth and works in any weather.

DTH TV Broadcasting or TV:  We can watch live TV programs from satellite without using any TV program like cable, cricket footage is broadcast by satellite signal.

Climate and Environment Monitoring: A great resource  for information on climate change research by satellite.  Satellites monitor ocean temperatures.  Satellites can measure the changing shape of the glaciers, which are difficult to observe from the ground.
